Two very different fixes
An overlay adds a fresh course of asphalt over your existing surface. Full-depth reclamation grinds the old pavement and base into new structural material, regrades it, and builds the surface back from scratch. One costs a fraction of the other, so it matters that the right one gets recommended.
When an overlay is enough
If the base is sound, drainage works, and the cracking is surface-level, an overlay is a legitimate fix that buys years of service. We will tell you when that is the case, because upselling a reclamation nobody needs is not how we keep neighbors as repeat customers.

Settling, heaving, or soft spots that move underfoot
Drainage problems that live in the base, not the surface
Pavement past its structural life, where an overlay would just chase cracks
